These individuals are authorized to organize, support and facilitate the various courses developed by Dr. Neufeld for parents and/or educators and/or helping professionals. Many of the courses are video-based, while others, particularly in those offered in languages other than English, may be audio based. Some of these courses are available in a distance education format as well. All individuals have been carefully selected and have completed a program of studies and training to equip them to provide this service.



Darlene is a Certified Child & Youth Counsellor [Ontario Association of Child & Youth Counsellors], who has worked with children, pre-teens, adolescents and parents/caregivers since 1988. A faculty member of the Neufeld Institute, she has worked in a number of diverse settings including the Sudbury Algoma Psychiatric Hospital [Child & Adolescent Crisis and Intervention Assessment Unit], and primary, secondary and continuing-education school facilities. Darlene has taken an active role in facilitating community talks, parenting education, and professional development geared towards understanding the emotional, developmental and attachment needs of children. A dedicated Mother of two, Darlene brings to her practice an intuitive and well-grounded sense of children, and a strong commitment to helping others make sense of children through the lens of attachment.
