Our training is four-tiered. The foundation involves mastering the basic concepts of the attachment-based developmental theory and using the lenses of attachment, maturation and vulnerability to make sense of children. This is the objective of the Neufeld Intensive One. Even though individuals may have had significant exposure to Neufeld’s teaching, this Intensive is required to see the big picture and how everything knits together. The next step is to apply the knowledge acquired in the Level One Intensive to make sense of the typical problems that plague children. This is the objective of the Neufeld Intensive Two.
Individuals who wish to pursue authorization to facilitate one or more of the Neufeld videocourses are invited to apply to our Advanced Studies program. Practicing helping professionals who wish to pursue equipping and support in parent consulting or in working with adolescents, may apply for our practitioner authorization program once they have completed the first year of Advanced Studies. The final tier of training - personal internship with Dr. Neufeld - is for those with demonstrated leadership abilities who wish to be involved in organizational or regional leadership and in the training and support of others in their efforts to further this paradigm.
